Double D Golf Carts began as a small powersports shop in Keystone Heights in 2016.

Customers kept bringing us golf carts, and the business grew around dependable carts, accurate repairs, and straightforward answers.

How Did Double D Golf Carts Transition from Powersports to Golf Carts?

Double D started as a small powersports shop in Keystone Heights. When more customers began bringing us golf carts, we made them our focus. Today we sell new and preowned carts and repair gas and electric models.

Eve Sorenson has owned the business since it opened in 2016. The name Double D comes from her son, Danial Dunson. We primarily sell factory recertified E-Z-GO carts and select products with future parts availability in mind.

ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS WITHOUT GUESSWORK

Electrical problems can be difficult to identify, especially when a golf cart has been modified or has an uncommon system. Our shop uses diagnostic equipment for electric golf carts, and a University of Florida electrical engineering graduate handles electrical diagnostics and conversions in house. We test batteries, chargers, controllers, solenoids, motors, and wiring before recommending repairs.

What Experience Does Double D Golf Carts' Team Bring to Repairs?

Our team brings approximately 50 years of combined mechanical, powersports, and related experience to the shop. Everyone who repairs carts here has individually won a Florida off road state championship. That experience shapes our approach to careful assembly, precise settings, and reliable repairs.

SHELBY DUNSON

Sales and Shop Manager

Shelby joined Double D in 2017 and brings about 30 years of experience. A Navy veteran and motorcycle enthusiast, he previously built and operated several small businesses. Today, he runs sales and shop operations.

EVE SORENSON

Owner

Eve has owned Double D since it opened in 2016. The shop’s name comes from her son, Danial Dunson. Outside work, Eve enjoys her grandbabies and koi pond.

DANIAL DUNSON

Electrical Technician

Danial joined Double D in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. He handles electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting and conversions in house. Go Gators!

SAMUEL OSTER

Technician

Samuel has been with Double D since 2020 and has more than 10 years of experience repairing bikes and trucks. He specializes in motorcycles and gas golf carts and loves racing dirt bikes.
