The ActivEV Pulse is powered by Bintelli, an established electric vehicle manufacturer based in the United States. The Pulse combines the convenience of a golf cart with many of the comfort and safety features normally associated with larger vehicles.

One of the biggest differences between the ActivEV Pulse and many traditional electric golf carts is the lithium battery system.

Lithium batteries eliminate many of the routine maintenance requirements associated with traditional flooded lead acid batteries. There is no battery watering schedule, and owners do not have to regularly clean corrosion caused by battery acid around the battery compartment.

Lithium batteries are also popular because they provide consistent electrical performance while reducing the amount of routine battery maintenance required.

The ActivEV Pulse is marketed as a low speed vehicle, or LSV. That distinction matters when a cart will be driven on public roads.

Florida law treats an LSV differently from a standard golf cart.

Under Florida Statute 316.2122, a properly registered low speed vehicle may generally operate on streets with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. Florida also requires low speed vehicles to have specific safety equipment, registration, insurance, a title, and a vehicle identification number. The driver must have a valid driver’s license.

Local governments can place additional restrictions on where low speed vehicles may operate. Owners should always confirm the rules for the specific city, county, neighborhood, or community where the vehicle will be driven.
